Website Privacy Policy
1. Scope and Product Boundaries
nanoGOAT LLC operates nanogoat.io. This policy covers visits to the website, optional adult website accounts, waitlists, beta applications, and support messages. The website and nanoGOAT Parent use a shared sign-in account. The AAC app has no accounts and does not sync its local content to that account.
The apps have separate policies: AAC Privacy Policy and Parent Privacy Policy. Creating a website account does not grant access to AAC boards, photos, or communicator profiles.
2. Information We Receive
When you create or use an account, we receive your email address, account identifier, and profile information supplied by you or your chosen sign-in provider. Supabase handles authentication, including email/password and Apple or Google sign-in where offered, session tokens, and password-reset requests.
Waitlist records identify the account, product, signup time, and source. Where a newsletter option is offered, we store that preference and the display name you provide. Parent beta records include the agreement version and acceptance time. We receive the content and contact details of support messages you send.
Hosting, authentication, and content providers receive technical request information such as IP address, browser information, requested URLs, and request times to deliver and secure their services. Please avoid including a child's personal information or sensitive family content in website or support submissions unless necessary for the request.
3. Browser Storage and External Content
The website uses browser local storage and session storage to maintain sign-in, complete authentication redirects, and remember pending waitlist actions and preferences. Clearing browser storage can sign you out or interrupt those flows; it does not delete your account on our servers.
Cloudflare hosts the website. Supabase provides account and database services. Google Fonts serves fonts, and pages may load YouTube video content or thumbnails. Those services receive network information when your browser requests their content. Apple and Google process sign-in requests when you choose them. External sites and app stores have their own privacy practices. The website does not embed Parent's PostHog analytics or RevenueCat subscription SDK.
4. Uses and Disclosures
We use website information to operate and secure the site, authenticate accounts, manage waitlists and beta enrollment, send requested product or testing updates, respond to support requests, and meet legal obligations. Where you separately opt into a newsletter, we use that preference for newsletter communications. Joining a waitlist or beta does not purchase a subscription.
We disclose information to providers supporting these functions, when required by law, or where necessary to protect rights and safety. We do not sell personal information or use website account information for third-party targeted advertising. Parent app data processing is described in the Parent Privacy Policy.
5. Retention, Deletion, and Choices
We retain account and signup records to provide the requested account, waitlist, or beta service. Support and operational records are retained for the purposes described above and applicable legal obligations. Contact us to request access, correction, a copy, deletion, withdrawal from a waitlist, or an end to optional newsletter communications. We may need to verify your identity.
You can request account deletion at Delete account. This deletes the shared sign-in account and associated live Parent cloud content and website records. It does not affect the free AAC app or erase AAC content on your devices. Separately held diagnostics, analytics, support records, and provider backups require separate handling; see the Parent Privacy Policy or contact us. Deleting an account does not cancel a store subscription, recall shared files, or erase copies on other devices.
Depending on applicable law, you may have additional rights to restrict processing or appeal a denied request. Email us to exercise those rights or request an appeal. We do not discriminate against people for exercising privacy rights.
6. Children, Security, and International Processing
Website accounts and signup forms are intended for adults aged 18 or older, or the age of majority where they live. Children do not need a website account to use AAC. If you believe a child has submitted personal information through the website, contact us so we can investigate and address it. The apps' children's privacy pages describe their different uses: AAC and Parent.
We use encrypted connections and account access controls. Keep sign-in credentials and devices secure. We are based in the United States; our providers may process information in the United States and other countries. No system is completely secure.
7. Changes and Contact
